When Ric Martel was 10 years old, he started his career in sales. Taking care of neighbors’ lawns, shoveling snow covered driveways, delivering newspapers, selling vegetable plant seeds, booster club seals, Christmas cards and even doing a little baby sitting engrained the basic skills of promoting himself and following up with clients. In addition to learning the basics of taking care of clients, he developed a strong and tireless work ethic that he is very proud of to this very day.
His experience in high school and college broadened his horizon and he realized the potential in marketing, management and finance from his course work. He most enjoyed his marketing classes and the research and presentations that were required. He truly enjoyed working with his classmates and professors while conducting the research and fine tuning the presentations. This experience solidified his desire to become a sales professional.
Embarking on a career in real estate as a 23 year old young man was an unbelievable experience. Doing it in 1991 was a daunting task. Through attending many training workshops and seminars and good old trial and error, Ric learned how to market and promote his listings and earned Rookie of the Year honors for the national company where he worked. His Mom, Bonnie, was a real estate broker since he was 13 years old and her guidance was instrumental during the beginning years. 14 years after Ric landed his first weekly lawn cutting job he was now selling the house, yard and pool…the whole property. He was up and running as a sales professional in an industry with unlimited potential. Most important was he was able to use his skills to help people achieve their home selling and buying goals. In the real estate business over the last two decades he has sold houses, managed sales associates, trained sales professional, conducted seminars, owned and operated an entire company and was general sales manager for the 10 office company where he still works. He has been more than satisfied working in the real estate business and feels his experience will be put the best use helping selling and buying clients make informed and educated decisions.
At the present time, he is a broker and managing member of the Win Win Home Sales Team, comprised of his business partner, Roksana Bedrij; Marge Golden, their trustworthy, loyal, and licensed assistant; and himself. This triple combination has proven to be very successful to all of their clients. Their goal is to listen - really listen – to their clients and then take action to accomplish the attainable goal. In 2009 Ric and Roksana were awarded the Top Associates of Prudential Zack Shore Properties Monmouth County Offices. The are also members of the elite Prudential President's Circle.
